New Commission on Wrongful Convictions in NY
On May 1, the Chief Judge of New York’s highest court announced the creation of a permanent Justice Task Force to study the causes of wrongful convictions and develop systemic remedies to improve the state’s criminal justice system. The Innocence Project called the move a “huge step forward” and a national model.
